AMBER MOTES
Amber’s love for gymnastics began at just four years old and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. She advanced through recreational classes and earned a spot on the competitive team in record time, traveling throughout Indiana and competing nearly every weekend. At age 12, she had a standout moment at the State Championships in Indianapolis, earning 1st place on Floor, Bars, and Vault, 2nd place on Beam, and the All-Around title—qualifying her for Level 8.
Throughout high school, Amber continued both gymnastics and cheerleading, building lasting memories in both sports. After stepping back for a time to focus on family, she returned to competition at age 39, qualifying for Nationals in Springfield and achieving a personal best score of 9.5 on Floor, her favorite event.
Although an ankle and foot injury eventually ended her time as a competitor, Amber has found the perfect way to carry on her love for the sport—coaching. She has been involved in gymnastics for over 30 years, offering private tumbling lessons for the past three, and currently serves as the Head Coach for the 3rd and 4th grade Homer Stallions cheer team.
Amber is thrilled to bring her experience, passion, and love for the sport to Relevé Dance Company as an Acro Coach this season. Outside of coaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband David, their daughter Mckenna (a proud 3rd grader), and their three dogs—Bella, Elsa, and Laila.
