What Are Recreational Dance Classes?
Recreational dance classes are the perfect way for kids and teens to learn to dance in a fun, supportive, no-pressure setting — no experience required. Unlike our competitive teams, recreational classes focus on building skills, confidence, and a genuine love of movement at your dancer's own pace. Whether your child dreams of the stage or just wants a joyful weekly activity, there's a place for them at Relevé. We welcome dancers of all ages and abilities in Lockport and across Will County, including New Lenox, Mokena, Homer Glen, Lemont, Orland Park, and Joliet.
Styles We Offer
- Ballet — the foundation of all dance: technique, poise, and grace.
- Jazz — energetic, expressive movement that builds strength and style.
- Tap — rhythm, timing, and a whole lot of fun.
- Hip Hop — high-energy, age-appropriate choreography to today's music.
- Acro & Tumbling — strength, flexibility, and controlled acrobatic skills.
- Poms — sharp, spirited team-style dance.
- Contemporary, Modern & Lyrical — fluid, emotional, expressive movement.
- Dance Team Technique — focused training in jazz technique, turns, leaps, jumps, kicks, and pom technique.
Why Families Choose Relevé
We're a family-first studio where every dancer is known by name. Our billing is one simple flat monthly fee with no surprise invoices — ever. And we're proud to be a 3× ADCC Studio of Excellence (including 2026) and a Best of Southland 2025 winner. Most of all, we've built a warm, encouraging environment where dancers grow in confidence on stage and off.
