DOROTHY KOLTAS

Dorothy has been training and competing in dance for over 12 years, with a strong foundation in a wide range of styles including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, and Pointe. From a young age, she thrived in competitive team programs across Illinois, quickly developing a deep passion for choreography and musicality. Over the course of eight seasons, Dorothy choreographed all of her solo routines since the age of eight years old. She was also a member of the Lemont High School Dance Team, further expanding her experience in both team dynamics and performance.

Dorothy has trained at the prestigious CLI Conservatory Summer Intensive, where she received hands-on mentorship from an elite faculty including Rhapsody James, Teddy Forance, Ashley Cruz, Lex Ishimoto, Channing Cooke, and more.This immersive program further expanded her artistic foundation, training under industry-leading choreographers across multiple genres.

While at Relevé she works with all levels of dancers varying from beginners to elite. As an award-winning choreographer, Dorothy’s original works have been recognized for their creativity, technical excellence, and emotional impact at regional and national competitions. She is devoted to teaching dance no matter in a group, or a 1:1 setting. All the while, she values assisting students to learn and loves to see them grow throughout their careers. With a steadfast focus on innovation and excellence, Dorothy continues to inspire—from the classroom to the competition stage—through her artistry, leadership, and unwavering dedication to dance.

Dorothy is honored to have shared her passion for dance with dancers nationally as an esteemed team member and judge for competitions such as Fly Dance. When not sharing her passion for dance with students at Relevé, Dorothy is a business owner and entrepreneur. She is currently attending ASU online and pursuing a BAS.
