KATIE SCUDERI
Katie is a graduate of the University of Iowa, with a BFA in Dance. She performed several years at the University of Iowa Dance Gala, the COCO Dance Festival, UIDC Home Concert and Tour. She has worked with Jennifer Kayle, Eloy Barragan, Melinda Myers, Kieron Sargeant, Flock and Armando Duarte. Katie was also a member of the University of Iowa Dance Company.
Katie began dancing at age 3 and is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary. She was a member of the Carl Sandburg Eaglettes for all four years and since graduating she has choreographed their competition routines as well as those for Alanzo Stagg dance team. She has been teaching the last few years at the studio she trained at in the southwest suburbs.
Katie is dedicated to providing a healthy and positive environment for dancers to learn and grow in their dance journeys. She enjoys helping dancers develop new skills and techniques to help empower individuals to meet their goals. Her passion is to give dancers an outlet to express their emotions and tell stories through performative art in an inclusive environment allowing dance to be for all.
This fall, Katie will be continuing her dance training as a full time trainee at Visceral Dance Center in Chicago.
