MARTI KRIEGER
Marti began her in-studio dance training when she was 6 years old. She has been trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap.
Marti attended Lockport Township High School where she performed in Orchesis. While still training in-studio and during high-school special interest dance classes, Marti began to choreograph. She choreographed for Lockport Orchesis performances pieces as well as her own Solos.
As an adult, Marti has never left the studio. From time to time, she enjoys taking adult ballet classes, as well as tap, & on occasion contemporary. She began teaching dance in Spring 2017 and has attended Dance Teacher Seminars to better her knowledge and understanding of how children learn. .
Marti's teaching techniques involve getting ahead of the dance student to prevent injuries, help accelerate dancer success, focus on individual student attention as well as the overall group as a whole. She especially finds joy in giving a fun dance environment for children of all ages, where they will enjoy themselves while growing as a hard working dancer. She continuously asks questions to dancers to help connect their minds to their movements.
